Lucas' Hat Trick Keeps Women’s Soccer Streak Alive

Steubenville, Ohio – Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer traveled to Steubenville, Ohio in hopes of keeping their winning streak alive as they took on Franciscan University. The team did not disappoint, winning 4-1 and pushing their perfect record to 14-0-0 and 6-0-0 in AMCC games.

Freshman Ashley Lucas lead the way for the Bobcats, recording a hat trick. Her first goal came in the 17th minute, assisted by freshman Alexsia Barlamas.To make it 2-0 Bobcats, sophomore Tiffany Michalek scored in the 26th minute.

Lucas then recorded her second goal of the game in the 47th minute and to cap off the hat trick, scored again in the 73rd minute, with an assist going to Juliana Bedoya.

Franciscan scored in the 78th minute to make it 4-1, but sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Yoder stood tall all game making six saves to secure the Pitt-Greensburg victory.

Pitt-Greensburg returns to action Saturday (Oct 19) at 3:15pm in Alfred, NY to take on Alfred State College.
