Women’s Soccer Gets 15th Win Of Season With 2-0 Victory At Alfred State

ALFRED, N.Y.- Goals from Ashley Lucas and Juliana Bedoya helped propel the Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory at Alfred State in its final regular-season road match Saturday afternoon.

With the win, Pitt-Greensburg improves to 15-0-0 overall and 7-0-0 in the AMCC.

Ashley Lucas netted her 21st of the season in the 25th minute to put the Bobcats up 1-0 and with just over five minutes before halftime, Juliana Bedoya found the back of the goal her first career marker to send the Bobcats to the 2-0 win. Lucas has now scored in 11-straight games and has a goal in all but one contest this season.

Erika Caldro tallied an assist on Pitt-Greensburg's opening goal of the contest and Lucas notched a helper on Bedoya's first career goal.
Lauren Yoder made four saves en route to her 14th win and 11th shutout of the season.

The Bobcats outshot Alfred State by a 17-6 margin and generated 10 corner kicks, while defensively held the Pioneers without a corner kick opportunity.

Pitt-Greensburg returns to action Wednesday afternoon, playing host to Mt. Aloysius at 3:15 pm. Wednesday's match is the start of three-straight home matches to end the regular-season. The Bobcats will face Behrend on Saturday, October 26 and La Roche on Tuesday, October 29.
