Three Second Half Goals Lift Women’s Soccer Past Penn State Altoona

ALTOONA- Second half goals from Ashley Lucas, Andi McGinnis, and Alexsia Barlamas lifted the Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory at Penn State Altoona Tuesday evening inside Spring Hill Stadium.

With the win, Pitt-Greensburg improves to 12-0-0 overall and 4-0-0 in the AMCC,

Following a scoreless opening 45 minutes of action, Lucas netted her 16th of the season less than two minutes into the second half to put the Bobcats up 1-0. With the match still in the balance, McGinnis took a pass from Hawa Janneh at the top of the 18-yard box and drilled it into the bottom left hand corner of the to put the visitors up 2-0. Alexis Barlamas ended any hopes of a Lion comeback with her second of the season in the 88th minute.

Lucas paced the Bobcat attack with eight shot attempts, followed by two from McGinnis and Erika Caldro, and one each from Tiffany Michalek, Allie Grimm, and Barlamas.

Lauren Yoder made four Saves en route to her 11th win and ninth shutout of the season.

Pitt-Greensburg returns to action Saturday afternoon when it plays host to Medaille at 4:15 pm.
