Women’s Soccer Moves To 5-0 With Shutout At Wilson Saturday Afternoon

CHAMBERSBURG- The Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team remained undefeated with a 4-0 shutout at Wilson College, in a non-conference matchup Saturday afternoon.

Pitt-Greensburg led 1-0 at the halftime break, but struck for three goals in the final 45 minutes of action for the 4-0 win.

The Bobcats dominated both sides of the field as on the offensive end they totaled 11 attempts and defensively held the Phoenix to just one attempt.

Pitt-Greensburg goalkeeper Lauren Yoder recorded her fourth shutout of the season, which lowers her goals-against-average to an impressive .40.

Ashley Lucas put the Bobcats up 1-0 with her fifth goal of the season. The freshman forward has scored in all but one game this season.

The Bobcats outshot Wilson 5-0 in the opening half of play and went into the halftime break holding a 1-0 lead.

Pitt-Greensburg did not wait long to strike after the break, as less than five minutes into the second stanza, Allie Grimm found the back of the goal to double the Bobcat advantage to 2-0.

Less than 10 minutes later, Brooke Ianarelli notched her first career goal to extend the visitor lead to 3-0. With less than five minutes left in regulation, Alexa Fetterman gave the Bobcats the 4-0 win with her first goal of the season in the 88th minute.

Pitt-Greensburg returns to action Wednesday afternoon, when it plays host to Geneva at 4 pm.
