Women’s Soccer Rolls To 5-0 Win At Hilbert Saturday Afternoon

HAMBURG, N.Y.- Ashley Lucas scored two goals, and Allie Grimm, Tiffany Michalek, and McKenzie Huntebrinker each found the back of the net as the Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team rolled to a 5-0 victory at Hilbert Saturday afternoon.

With the win, Pitt-Greensburg improves to 9-0-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the AMCC, while Hilbert falls to 0-5-0, and 0-1-0 in the conference.

Pitt-Greensburg put together a dominating performance on both ends of the field, as offensively the Bobcats outshot Hilbert 35-2, and defensively held the Hawks to just two shot attempts, including zero in the second half.

Lucas opened the scoring for the Bobcats in the 17th minute with her 12th goal of the season. Less than a minute later, Huntebrinker notched her first of the season, followed by Lucas' second of the afternoon in the 33rd minute.

In the second half, Grimm found the back of the net for the fourth time this season in the 66th minute and Michalek totaled her 11th of the year in the 74th. Jenna Conty, Alexsia Barlamas and Michalek each added assists for the Bobcats in the win.

Lauren Yoder recorded one save to earn her sixth shutout of the year and her ninth win of the season.

Pitt-Greensburg closes out its non-conference schedule Tuesday, hosting Juniata at 4 pm.
