Men’s Tennis Rolls Past Pitt-Bradford

GREENSBURG- The Pitt-Greensburg men's tennis team defeated Pitt-Bradford by a score of 8-1 Sunday afternoon at the Greensburg Racquet Center.

Pitt-Greensburg opened up a 3-0 advantage with wins in all three doubles matches and followed with victories in five of the six contests during singles play.

Turner Price and Vaughn Hunkele won 8-5 at #1 doubles, Chris Marinchek and Terrance Madarish claimed an 8-1 win at #2 doubles, while Andrew Oden and Francisco Garcia rolled to an 8-1 win in the final doubles match.

Price made it two wins on the day with a 6-0, 6-0 win at #1 singles and Hunkele also won the #3 singles match by an identical score of 6-0, 6-0. Madarish won 6-0, 6-2 in the #4 position, Oden won 6-1, 6-1 at #5 and Garcia rolled to a 6-1, 6-3 victory in the final match.

Pitt-Greensburg returns to action next Sunday when it travels to face Penn State Altoona at 12 pm.
