Women's Tennis Dominates La Roche With Four 6-0, 6-0 Sweeps

Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA - The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg women's tennis team went on the road to La Roche University this evening and took down the Redhawks in convincing fashion, 8-1.

The Bobcats improve to 4-0 in conference play this season and 6-2 overall.


Doubles:

Pitt-Greensburg got off to an excellent start, going 3-0 in the doubles portion of the match.

Isabella Lane and Cathryn Rossi owned the #1 match with an 8-3 victory.

The Abigail Rosman and Kelsey Murphy duo, in the #2 match, was flawless for the Blue and Gold, winning via a clean sweep, 8-0.

The Redhawks forfeited the third and final doubles match, completing the Pitt-Greensburg sweep.


Singles:

La Roche got themselves on the board after the #1 singles match, but the Bobcats came back and did not surrender another game the rest of the way.

In dominating fashion, the Bobcats rattled off four consecutive double bagels in the #2 through #5 matches. Rossi, Rosman, Mariah Ulery, and Amber Sterrett were the 6-0, 6-0 winners for Pitt-Greensburg. 

La Roche was unable to field a player in the six spot, cementing the 8-1 Bobcat win.



The Bobcats will return to the court on Sunday in Cresson, Pa for a matchup against Mount Aloysius. First service is slated for 11 am.
