Men's Tennis Rolls Past Pitt-Bradford, 9-0, To Open Season

Box Score BRADFORD, PA - The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg men's tennis team rolled past Pitt-Bradford, 9-0, to open their 2021-22 campaign this afternoon. 


Doubles:

Turner Price and Deven Summers took the court in the number one spot and got their season off to a strong start with a dominating 8-0 win.

Francisco Garcia and Kyle Glessner took down their Pitt-Bradford challengers, 8-1, in the second doubles match.

The Panthers forfeited the last doubles match.


Singles:

The Bobcats swung their way to sweeps in the first five singles matches, before Pitt-Bradford conceded the finale.

Price and Garcia each picked up double bagel wins, 6-0, 6-0.

Summers swept the first set and rolled to a 6-1 in the second.

Glessner picked up a bagel win in his second set, after winning his first 6-2.

Ruscitto finished off the clean sweep of Pitt-Bradford with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.


Pitt-Greensburg will stay on the road this weekend for a match tomorrow at Penn State Behrend. First service is slated for 1 pm.
