Women's Soccer Explodes in Conference Opener

GREENSBURG – A little rain didn't dampen the spirits of the Bobcat women's soccer team as they matched their season high in goals in a 7-0 win against Hilbert.
 
It was the usual suspects as Ashley Lucas and Megan Hickey found the back of the net, with Hickey finding it twice. Maya Wertelet also scored as well as Becca Kubler and Abby Henise. There was a new name in the score sheet as well with freshman Sarah Folmer scoring her first collegiate goal late in the first half.
 
Three of the seven Bobcat goals had assists as Lucas, Kubler and Logan Jennings as the helpers. Pitt-Greensburg had 15 shots on goal alone in the game while the team held the Hawks to four shots wih one being on goal.
 
This was the Bobcats fifth shutout of the season and the team's second consecutive Saturday shutout. Pitt-Greensburg will pull double duty as they travel to play regionally ranked Ohio Wesleyan tomorrow in Delaware Ohio. Kickoff will be at 1 PM.
