Women's Soccer Battles to 2-1 Loss Against OWU

DELAWARE, Ohio – The Bobcats women's soccer team finished a back-to-back by traveling to take on regionally ranked Ohio Wesleyan. The Bobcats played the battling Bishops tough and tied the game 20 minutes into the second half, however, OWU was able to answer the Bobcats goal with a game-winner.
 
Freshman Maya Wertelet scored the Bobcats goal with senior Alexsia Barlamas getting the helper. Sophomore Paige John was in net for Pitt-Greensburg, making ten saves for the Bobcats.
 
Ashley Lucas led the Bobcats in shots, with all three of her attempts getting on net. Barlamas and Wertelet were the other Bobcats to get a shot on net.
 
Pitt-Greensburg cut their rotations down for this game, playing just four players off the bench with Jenna Conty leading the way, playing 57 minutes as a reserve. Five Bobcats played the full 90 minutes.
 
Pitt-Greensburg will return home on Wednesday to play a nonconference matchup with Juniata. Kickoff will be at 4 PM.
