Lucas Breaks Record in Offensive Explosion

BRADFORD – All records are made to be broken. Even if they have been set in pace since the early days of the Pitt-Greensburg Athletics Department being a member of the NCAA. That is what happened in Bradford as senior Ashley Lucas became the program's all time leading goal scorer, breaking the record by Pitt-Greensburg Hall of Famer Jen (McIntosh) Luciew. Lucas not only broke the record in the Bobcats' 9-0 win over Bradford, but she extended it as well as she had two goals on the match.

Lucas was not the only Pitt-Greensburg player to find the back of the net, as six other Bobcats got in the score sheet against the Panthers. Reese Walker scored the first goal of her collegiate career as seniors Brooke Ianarelli and Alexsia Barlamas  also found the back of the net. Maya Wertelet had two goals on the day while Megan Hickey scored her 15th goal of the season. Becca Kubler was able to put away a penalty kick goal as well.

The Bobcats outshoot the Panthers 39-2 with 25 of those shots getting on net. Pitt-Greensburg was able to continue to keep pressure on the Panthers as they recorded 13 corner kicks.

The Bobcats will host the Lions of Altoona at Ridilla field on Wednesday. Kickoff will be at 4 PM.
