Women's Volleyball Fights Hard in Home Tri Match

GREENSBURG – It was an eventful day for the Bobcat women's volleyball team as they hosted a tri match with Pitt-Bradford and Main Fort Kent. Pitt-Greensburg lost both matches however, the team was able to take both matches to four sets; something the team hasn't been able to do in recent times.

The Bobcats took on the Panthers in a AMCC matchup for the team's first match of the day. Pitt-Greensburg showed a lot of fight, battling back to a set win after falling behind 2-0. The Panthers proved to be too much in the fourth set and dropped the match.

Savanna Stephens was the lead Bobcat as she led the team in kills while also recording a block. Emma Halutick also had a strong showing, recording eight kills, two service aces, 18 digs and a block. Libero Alanna Meloy led the team in digs with 24 while Kaylee George led the team in assists with 18.

The Bobcats fell behind 2-0 once again in their second match of the day but battled back to force a fourth set against the Bengals of Maine Fort Kent. Halutick led the team in digs and kills while George had four aces and 15 assists. Taylor Logan led the team in assists with 16 while Abigail Miller recorded a block.

The Bobcats will travel to Altoona on Tuesday to take on the Lions. First serve will be at 7 PM.
