Men's Soccer Earns First Playoff Win Since 2014

GREENSBURG – The Pitt-Greensburg men's soccer team was in unfamiliar territory today as they were hosting its first playoff game at Ridilla Field since 2014. Not only did the team host, but they also defeated the Lions of Penn State Altoona 2-0 on the back of a PK goal by freshman Caleb Yuricha and a laser from Junior Jason Argueta.

The two goals came withing three minutes of each other in the second half of the game. The Bobcats out shot the Lions 11-1 as Pitt-Greensburg had four shots on goal. The game was a physical matchup as there were 18 fouls and four cards given out through the match.

Yuricha led the Bobcats with four shots, two of them being on goal. Defender Robert Reed also had a shot on goal as well as Argueta. Five Bobcats played the full 90, including junior keeper Danny Rodgers who didn't have to make a save throughout the match.
