Cold Shooting Night From Women's Basketball Leads to Loss Against CMU

GREENSBURG – It was a tough shooting day for the Bobcats inside Chambers Hall a the team shot 24.2 percent from the floor and 18.5 percent from behind the arc in an 81-43 loss to the hands of the Tartans of Carnegie Mellon.
 
Lizzie Penrose led the team in scoring with 13 points and secured five rebounds while Kayla Hoehler and Melina Maietta had nine points each. Freshman Madison Scalese secured a team-high six rebounds for the Bobcats.
 
Carnegie Mellon shot over 52 percent from the floor and over 42 percent from behind the arc while making 12 of 15 free throws. Savannah Gibbs scored a game-high 16 points for CMU. The Tartans had three other players score in double figures.
 
The Bobcats have a busy next couple of days as they welcome Penn State Beaver and Seton Hill to the Den on Monday and Tuesday this week.
