ON TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP! Bobcats Defeat Lions to Reach Third Straight AMCC Championship

GREENSBURG – For the third-straight season, the Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team is going to the AMCC Championship game to take on the Penn State Behrend Lions. A goal late in the second half by Julia Rowe gave the Bobcats a 1-0 lead, and an insurance goal by freshman Megan Hickey, her 18th of the season, propelled the Bobcats to a 2-0 win over Altoona.
 
Freshman keeper Hailey Kepner made two saves on two shots for the Bobcats and was tactical in net with her angles. Hickey recorded four shots, three of which were on net while senior Ashley Lucas recorded three shots, with one getting on net.
 
The back line put a lot of pressure on the Altoona forwards, giving them very little room to breathe as they were able to keep Altoona to just four shots in the match.
 
The Bobcats will take on Behrend this Saturday at 2 pm at Ridilla Field.
