Bobcats Earn First Victory, Defeat Wooster

GREENSBURG – It was an afternoon of getting the "monkey" off the Bobcats back as the team earned its first win of the season, as they defeated Wooster 70-58. Sidney McCully had a 31 point, 11 rebound double-double and added six assist. Madison Scalese had her best game of the season, scoring a career-high 14 points and adding 13 rebounds.
 
The Bobcats made it to the line 21 times in the game, making 13. Pitt-Greensburg turned the ball over just 13 times in the game. 36 of the 70 Bobcat points came in the paint while the team scored 18 points off of the Fighting Scots 19 turnovers.
 
Wooster shot just 28.6 percent from the line and made eight three-pointers in the game. The Bobcat win marks the first in the head coaching career of Darien Lantz.
 
Pitt-Greensburg will travel to Lemont Furnace on Tuesday to take on the Lions of Penn State Fayette. Tip off is at 7 PM.
