Women's Basketball Extends Win Streak to Three Games

WAYNESBURG – The Bobcat women's basketball team extended its win streak to three games after dominating the Yellow Jackets of Waynesburg on their home court. Pitt-Greensburg defeated the Jackets 59-42.
 
The Bobcats had three players score in double-figures in senior Sidney McCully (16). Freshman Kayla Hoehler (14) and sophomore Melina Maiettta (13). Combined the three scored 43 of the Bobcat's 59 points.
 
The most impressive stat of the game came from the Pitt-Greensburg defensive efforts as the Bobcats held Waynesburg to 17.5 percent shooting. The Jackets made just two field goals in the first quarter. The Bobcats also forced Waynesburg into 18 turnovers, scoring 25 points off of those Waynesburg giveaways.
 
The Bobcats will be off next week for finals but will be back on the Chambers Hal court on Dec. 20th for yet another edition of the Battle of Route 30 as the Bearcats of Saint Vincent pay a visit to Southwest Greensburg. Tip off will be at 12 PM.
