Box Score ALTOONA, PA – Records were broken in the Bobcat Men's Tennis Team's first match of the 2022 spring season.
Turner Price took the court in the No. 1 singles position with a chance to break the school record in wins for singles play and overall. This is possible even with the past two tennis seasons being cut short due to COVID protocol.
Price went up against Joey Toth in his first appearance of the spring and defeated Toth 6-1, 6-2. This is Price's 27
th singles win of his career, passing Tyler Fox as the all-time wins leader in school history. This is also his 46
th career win in which he passes Fox for the record in that category as well.
Overall, Price is 27-3 in singles play and is on a 23-match win streak. He hasn't dropped a match since his freshman year.
As for the rest of the match, the Bobcats were tested by the Lions and dropped the overall match 8-1. Devin Summers and
Francisco Garcia put a scare into their opponents, however, were not able to come out on top.
The Bobcats will be in action again on March 5 when they host Juniata at the Greensburg Racquet Club. First sever will be at 12:30 PM.
