Men's Soccer Loses Heartbreaker to Bearcats

GREENSBURG - The Pitt-Greensburg and Saint Vincent Men's Soccer Teams renewed the Battle of Routh 30 at Ridilla Field today. A fast pace first half gave way to a more subdued second half as the Bearcats used a late goal to defeat the Bobcats.
 
Freshman Zander Plizga scored his first collegiate goal as the Bobcats had plenty of chances in the first half, however, were only able to come away with one goal. The Bobcats recorded six of the team's nine shots in the first half, with three of those shots just missing the net.
 
The Bearcats also had six first half shots, however, they were able to duplicate that with six shots in the second half. Eight of those 12 shots were on goal. Bobcat junior Danny Rodgers made some incredible saves in part to his six total saves.
 
Plizga, Caleb Yuricha and Jason Argueta all recorded multiple shots on goal for the Bobcats. Eduardo Richa and David Rahaman scored the two Saint Vincent goals.
 
The Bobcats will take a few days to regroup before they travel to Chambersburg to take on Wilson on Sept. 24. Kickoff will be at 1 pm.
