Bobcats Net Seven Goals in Rout of Geneva

GREENSBURG – It was an offensive explosion as the Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team put up seven goals in a victory against Geneva at Ridilla Field on Monday. Both Ashley Lucas and Megan Hickey scored two goals for the Bobcats and sophomore keeper Paige John made six saves.
 
UPG scored early and often in the first half as Lucas and Hickey combined for three goals in the first 17 minutes. Logan Jennings rounded out the half with her first goal of the season in the 32nd minute.
 
Hickey, Abby Henise and a first-career goal for Kylie Smith rounded out the scoring for Pitt-Greensburg. Freshman Maya Wertelet contributed on assists for both Lucas goals. Lucas assisted on the Henise goal while Hickey and Ashleigh VanHorn added assists as well.
 
The Bobcats combined for 30 shots with 16 of them being on net while the team held Geneva to 12 shots with seven of them being on net.
 
Pitt-Greensburg will be back on Ridilla Field this Wednesday when they host John Carroll. Kickoff will be at 4 PM.
