Bobcats Dominate on the Offensive End to Extinguish Wilson

GREENSBURG – Two second half goals by freshman Abby Henise and a dominating offensive performance overall led the Bobcat women's soccer team over Wilson today at Ridilla Field.

Junior Becca Kubler got the scoring started in the 26th minute of the game with a scorching shot for her first goal of the season. The Bobcats kept the pressure on the Phoenix in their defensive zone, as UPG was able to take 13 corner kicks. One of Henise's goals came in a scrum after a corner as she was in the right place at the right time.

Paige John started the game in goal for Pitt-Greensburg and made three saves in the first half. Freshman Hailey Kepner relieved John in the second half. The duo put together the team's first shutout of the season.

UPG played a clean game overall, as they limited their fouls over the course of the game. The Bobcats will have a little break over the next couple of days and will welcome Saint Vincent to Ridilla Field on Wednesday.
