Lions Run Past Bobcats

ALTOONA, PA - The Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team took its 2-0 AMCC record to Altoona tonight to take on the Lions of Penn State Altoona. The Bobcats jumped out to a 16-10 lead at the end of the first quarter, only to be outscored 63-43 in the final three quarters to drop the game 73-59.
 
Sidney McCully led the way for the Bobcats, scoring 19 points and securing a career-high 17 rebounds. McCully also had four blocks and four assists. Sophomore Melina Maietta and freshman Chloe Lukondi also scored in double-figures for the Bobcats with 16 and 12 respectively.
 
The Bobcats were forced into 18 turnovers while Altoona scored 20 points off those turnovers. The Lions held themselves to 13 turnovers. The shooting woes continued for the Bobcats as the team shot just over 25 percent from the floor and just over 22 percent from the three-point line.
 
The Behrend Lions will pay a visit to Chambers Hall this Saturday as the Bobcats will look to get back in its winning ways. Tip off will be at 4 PM.
