Women's Basketball Dominates Bradford

BRADFORD, PA – The Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team got back in the win column today as head coach Darien Lantz traveled back to her alma mater in Pitt-Bradford. Senior Sidney McCully scored a game-high 27 points, secured 12 rebounds and swiped five steals in a dominating 71-55 victory.
 
Melina Maietta scored 18 points and recorded seven assists in the game. Combined, McCully and Maietta went 11-20 from behind the arc. Freshman Chloe Lukondi also scored in double-figures for the Bobcats, coming out of the game with 12 points and seven rebounds.
 
Tiana Moracco, Lizzie Penrose and Madison Scalese also had solid rebounding games and they had nine, six, and six respectively. The Bobcats recorded a season best in giving up just six turnovers in the game. This is the second time in the season that the Bobcats have been under ten turnovers.
 
The Panthers were only able to make three shots from behind the arc and shot just over 57 percent from the free throw line.
 
Pitt-Greensburg will travel to Cresson on Wednesday to take on Mount Aloysius. Tip off will be at 7 PM.
