Bobcats Complete Comeback Victory Over Alfred State

ALFRED, NY – It was a tale of the Cardiac Cast in the Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball victory over Alfred State. Freshman Madison Scalese hit two free throws with just over one second left to give the Bobcats a one-point win. The Bobcats came back from ten points down with 6:58 left in the game to take the win.
 
Senior Point Guard Sidney McCully scored 16 points for the Bobcats while also securing 12 rebounds and coming just one assist shy of a triple-double with nine. Melina Maietta also scored 16 points. Freshmen Chloe Lukondi and Kayla Hoehler also scored in double digits with 12 and 10 respectively.
 
Scalese had 13 rebounds in the game, none bigger than the offensive rebounds she grabbed with two seconds left in the game off a McCully layup that just rolled off the rim. The Bobcats shot a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line.
 
Pitt-Greensburg forced the Pioneers into 25 turnovers and scored 26 points off those turnovers. The Bobcats also had a solid performance from their bench, with the reserves contributing 28 points.
 
The Bobcats will take their undefeated conference record to Altoona on Wednesday when they take on the Lions. Tip off will be at 7 PM.
