Late Bucket Propels Men's Basketball Over Geneva

BEAVER FALLS – The Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball team was working off their Thanksgiving Dinners as they played the Golden Tornadoes of Geneva today in Beaver County.  The game was a thriller as Geneva tied the game with a made three-pointer with 31 seconds left. The Bobcats then proceeded to take the ball down the court and hold for the last shot. Freshman Trent Rozich drove the lane and made a right-handed layup with five seconds left to give the Bobcats the win.

Rozich finished with 19 points and seven rebounds. Five other Bobcats finished in double-figures, including sophomore Matthew Marinchak who scored 18 points. Micah Jones, James Evans-Mcquay, and Ryan Greggerson also reached the teens. Marinchak played the full 40 minutes and was the only player in the game to do so.

The Bobcat's win is their first of the season and it was the first loss for Geneva. Conference play will begin this Wednesday for the Bobcats as the Lions of PS Altoona will pay a visit to Chambers Hall. Tip off will be at 7:00 PM.
