Strong Fourth Quarter Lead Women's Basketball Over Thiel

GREENSBURG – The Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team played their last game of 2023 inside Chambers Hall and defeated the Tomcats of Thiel College 83-66. Junior Melina Maietta led all scoreers with 23 points while adding ten rebounds and six assists. Sophomore Tiana Moracco Led the team with 14 rebounds to go with 18 points.
 
The Bobcats' two freshmen in Sarah Penrod and Malina Boord also score in double figures, with 17 points and 14 points respectively. Penrod was one rebound away from a double-double and Boord brought in six boards. The Bobcats shot 14-of-17 from the free-throw line with Moracco going 6-of-8. The Tomcats were led by Josie Lewis and her 21 points.
 
The Bobcats will return to AMCC play this Wednesday as they travel to New York to take on Hilbert. Tip off will be at 1:00 PM.
