Women's Basketball Comes Out Victorious in First AMCC Game of 2024

HAMBURG, New York – It's now a winning streak for the Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team as they came back to AMCC Play after a long winter break. The Bobcats defeated the Hawks 68-59 as junior guard Melina Maietta scored a game-high 20 points.
 
Four other Bobcats scored in double-figures including Sarah Penrod who scored 17 points over 40 minutes. Malina Boord and Tiana Moracco also had solid scoring days. Boord scored 13 points to g with six assists and Moracco scored 12 points to go with nine rebounds. The Bobcats shot over 84 percent from the free throw line.
 
Pitt-Greensburg will return to Chambers Hall this Saturday as the Express of Wells College make their first trip to Greensburg. Tip-off will be at 1:00 PM.
