Second Half Struggles Doom Men's Basketball Against La Roche

GREENSBURG – The Bobcat men's basketball team struggled in the second half against the RedHawks of La Roche, being outscored 50-29 in the final frame, to drop an AMCC basketball matchup in Chambers Hall.
 
JoJo France led the scoring for the Bobcats with 17 points, while Micah Jones scored 16 points and secured seven rebounds. Devon Darrell scored a game-high 29 points, secured seven rebounds, and dished out six assists for the RedHawks. Joe Pipilo and Michael Brooks also scored in double-figures for La Roche, with Pipilo knocking down four shots from behind the arc.
 
The RedHawks forced Pitt-Greensburg into 16 turnovers and scored 22 points off those turnovers. La Roche shot over 57 percent from the floor in the second half and over 46 percent from three-point land.
 
The RedHawks outscored the Bobcats 18 to 4 in fast break points and 32 to 24 in points in the paint. Pitt-Greensburg was up by two points at half, but foul trouble to junior Octavius Hardy took the Bobcats away from the game plan and caused fits to Pitt-Greensburg for most of the final frame.
 
The Bobcats will look to bounce back on Saturday when the team travels to Hilbert to take on the Hawks. Tip off will be at 1 PM.
