Strong Finish Not Enough; Women's Basketball Loses to La Roche

PITTSBURGH – Despite a strong fourth quarter in which the Bobcat women's basketball team outscored the RedHawks of La Roche 19-11, The red and black were too much for Pitt-Greensburg as La Roche came out victorious 72-60.
 
Senior Sidney McCully was the leading scorer for the Bobcats with 21 points. Tiana Moracco also scored in double-digits with 12 points. Freshman Madison Scalese secured 12 rebounds for the Bobcats.
 
Pitt-Greensburg was down four points after the first quarter, but the team was outscored 23-10 in the second to put them behind by 42-25 at half. That proved to be too much for Pitt-Greensburg to comeback from as La Roche was able to skid by in the other three quarters.
 
Makayla Abram scored a game-high 32 points for La Roche while the team had just one other player score in double-figures.
 
The Bobcats will travel north to Hilbert this Saturday to take on the Hawks. Tip off will be at 3 PM.
