Women's Basketball Seniors Lead Way to Win Over Bradford

GREENSBURG – The Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team celebrated its four seniors prior to today's game against the Panthers of Bradford. All four of the upperclassmen started for the Bobcats and all played at least 19 minutes. All together they totaled 32 points, 18 rebounds, 16 assists and ten steals.

Sidney McCully continued her stellar season as she accounted for 23 points, nine rebounds, nine assists and three steals. McCully only had one turnover in the game. Sophomore Melina Maietta also had a huge game as she matched McCully's 23 points and had three rebounds herself. Freshman Chloe Lukondi also scored in double-figures with 14 points, going 6-of-7 from the floor.

The Bobcats forced the Panthers into 19 turnovers while only committing eight as a team itself. Greensburg scored 19 points off those turnovers and 21 fast break points. The team lived in the paint, scoring 40 points in there.

Pitt-Greensburg has firm control of obtaining a home playoff game in the first round of the AMCC Playoffs as they are currently in third place in the conference. The Bobcats will have to finish out the year with a home game against Mount Aloysius and travel to Erie for a game against the Lions of Behrend.
