Jones Double-Double Leads Bobcats Past Mount Aloysius

CRESSON – It's official, The Bobcat men's basketball team will host a playoff game in Chambers Hall after the team defeated Mount Aloysius Wednesday 74-63. Pitt-Greensburg also got some help from Alfred State and Hilbert with the Pioneers defeating Penn State Behrend by three and the Hawks defeating the Panthers of Pitt-Bradford by one.
 
In the game against Mount, JoJo France led all scorers with 20 points while Micah Jones continued his hot streak by scoring 18 points and grabbing ten rebounds. Junior Reggie Priah also scored in double figures with 12 points while securing seven rebounds.
 
The Bobcats did not have their best shooting night as the team shot 35 percent from the floor, 33 percent from behind the arc, and 61 percent from the free-throw line. However, making eight three-point shots compared to the Mounties two makes from behind the arc in the first half provided Pitt-Greensburg a nine point lead going into the break.
 
That was enough to for the Bobcats as they also outscored Mount Aloysius by two in the second half. Overall, the Bobcats shot 23 free-throws. Jones had ten of those attempts.
 
Pitt-Greensburg will find out who they host with the conclusion of their game against Behrend and the result of the Bradford game. The Bobcats will go into the playoffs as the four seed and will host the five seed next Tuesday. Tip off will be at 6 PM.
