Flurry of First Half Goals Leads Wooster Over Women's Soccer

Greensburg – Women's Soccer faced a tough test today as the Fighting Scotts of Wooster brought their five-match winning streak to Dick's Sporting Goods Field on the campus of Seton Hill University. Wooster withstood an early rush from the Bobcats without a blemish and took a 4-1 victory to extend their unbeaten streak to six matches.

The Fighting Scotts scored four goals in the first half, which was the most goals the Bobcats have given up in a half this season. Sarah Tonkovich was able to get Pitt-Greensburg on the scoreboard with a second-half goal off a corner kick by Megan Hickey. Tonkovich was able to come out of a scrum in the box and find the back of the net. Sophomore keeper Hailey Kepner was able to record eight saves in the match.

The Bobcats will take on another OAC opponent this Tuesday as they will travel to University Heights, Oh to take on John Carroll. Kickoff will be at 7 pm.
