Women's Soccer Take Down Wilson for Home Opening Victory

Youngwood, Pa – The Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team earned its first win of the season as they defeated the Phoenix of Wilson 2-0. The Bobcats out shot their opponents 15-7 with eight Pitt-Greensburg shots getting on target.
 
The Bobcats scored ate in the first half and quickly in the second half as sophomore Kylie Smith scored on a Paige Inman assist in the first half. Junior Sarah Tonkovich found the back of the net in the second half, putting the Phoenix away for good. Junior Paige John started the match and made one save in the first half while sophomore Hailey Kepner came in for the second half and also made one save.
 
Pitt-Greensburg will travel east on Route 30 this Wednesday as they take the pitch against the Bearcats of Saint Vincent. Kickoff will be at 3 PM.
