Women's Basketball Drops Road Matchup to Mount Aloysius

CRESSON – After falling behind by nine at the end of the first quarter, the Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball teams couldn't make up the ground as the Bobcats dropped a road AMCC game to the Mounties of Mount Aloysius. Four Bobcats scored in double-figures, led by junior Melina Maietta and her 23 points.
 
The Bobcats shot 12-20 from the free throw line, going 7-of 14 after making 5-of-6 in the first quarter. Maietta went 5-for-5 from the charity stripe while the rest of the Bobcats went 7-for-15. Freshman Sarah Penrod and sophomore Tiana Moracco scored 16 points each while Moracco also had ten rebounds. Sophomore Madison Scalese was had 12 points of her own.
 
The Bobcats will travel to Erie this Saturday to take on the Behrend Lions at 2:00 PM.
