Men's Soccer Hangs Four Goals on Carlow

GREENSBURG - The Pitt-Greensburg men's soccer team dominated Carlow with a decisive 4-0 victory on October 29, 2024, at Ridilla Field in Greensburg. This win improved UPG's record to 5-11-1 (4-4-0), while Carlow fell to 3-12-0 ( 0-7-0).

The Bobcats opened the scoring with an own goal just before halftime. The momentum continued in the second half, starting with Ivan Remaley scoring in the 53rd minute, assisted by Leyton Takac. Nick Stuck then converted a penalty kick in the 62nd minute, and Sumanth Boyapati capped off the scoring with his second goal of the season in the 69th minute.

Pitt-Greensburg out shot Carlow significantly, with 23 total shots, including 10 on target, while Carlow managed just 3 shots with only 1 on goal. The Bobcats also dominated in corner kicks, earning 15 to Carlow's 2. UPG's goalkeeper rotation kept a clean sheet, with strong performances from all three goalkeepers.
