Hiram Takes Down Men's Basketball

HIRAM, Ohio - Four Bobcats scored in double-figures, led by junior Jackson Byer, who dropped 14 points in a road loss to the Terriers of Hiram. Byer went 6-for-7 from the floor and 2-of-3 from behind the arc in an efficient performance. Matthew Marinchak and Michael Bigley scored 13 points each, while Marinchak was money from the free-throw line, going 7-for-7. Freshman Ty Keffer rounded out the double-figure scorers as he had 11 points, with six rebounds and two steals.

The Terriers' offense was clicking. They shot over 47 percent from the floor and over 52 percent in the second half. 48 of their points were made from inside the paint, outscoring the Bobcats by 21 points inside the lane. Pitt-Greensburg scored 13 points from the charity stripe while shooting 87 percent. Second-chance points were huge for Hiram as well, as they scored 25 points on 20 offensive rebounding.

On Tuesday, the Bobcats will welcome Seton Hill in a cross-town matchup inside Chambers Hall. The tip-off will be at 2 PM.
