Women's Basketball Can't Slow CWRU Offense

CLEVELAND, Ohio—A quick turnaround led the Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team to another slow start on the court. In the team's final pre-holiday game, they were outscored 52-23 in the first half against the Spartans of Case Western Reserve.
 
Freshman Autumn Matthews led the Bobcats with 12 points and seven rebounds while shooting 5-for-8 from the floor. Junior Tiana Moracco and Freshman Jocelyn Bielak scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, with a combined total of six rebounds and five assists between the two.
 
Case Western shot 50 percent from the floor, making 40 shots, 19 of which came from behind the arc. The Spartans scored 28 points off 20 Bobcat Turnovers and 18 points off 19 offensive rebounds.
 
Pitt-Greensburg will be off until Dec. 30, when they will take on the Tomcats of Thiel in Greenville. The tip-off will be at 2 PM.
