Men's Basketball Outlasts Gators

MEADVILLE, PA – For the second consecutive game, the Bobcat's fate came down to a defensive stand as time expired. Unlike in the game against Carlow, Pitt-Greensburg could defend well enough for a last-second layup attempt to come off the rim and secure a one-point victory against the Gators of Allegheny. The win brings the Bobcats record to 4-6 overall.
 
Sophomore Trent Rozich led the Bobcats with 17 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Freshman and Junior Joziah Wyatt-Taylor came in as subs and scored 11 points and 10 points, respectively.
 
There were 16 lead changes in the game, but the Bobcats were able to keep the lead for five minutes longer than the Gators. The Bobcats' largest lead was 16 points when the team was up 23-7 in the first half.
 
Pitt-Greensburg outscored the Gators by a significant margin in fast break points (14-4) and second-chance points (9-3) and had five more blocks than Allegheny.
 
UPG will be off for the Holiday Break and back inside Chambers Hall on Dec. 29 against Adrian. Tip-off will be at 2 p.m.
