Women's Basketball Celebrates Senior Day With Victory Over Hilbert

GREENSBURG – The Hilbert Hawks women's basketball team scored 58 points today against the Bobcats of Pitt-Greensburg inside Chambers Hall. 41 of those points came from two players. Compare this to the Bobcats who had five players score eight points or more, leading the team to another AMCC victory. In the end, Pitt-Greensburg defeated Hilbert 65-58.
 
Junior Melina Maietta and sophomore Tiana Moracco scored 17 points and 16 points respectively, while Anna Durbin had another great game coming in as a reserve, scoring 12 points and bringing down five rebounds. The Bobcats out rebounded the Hawks 44 to 31 while 14 of those rebounds came from Moracco. Freshman guard Malina Boord had three blocks in the game from the guard position.
 
The Bobcats will continue their quest to hosting the first round of the AMCC playoffs first trying to get revenge on Mount Aloysius for a loss earlier in the season. The teams will play Wednesday inside Chambers Hall. Tip off will be at 7:00 PM.
