Wolverines Take Down Bobcats

GREENSBURG – A 3-0 first inning lead turned into an 8-3 deficit in the fifth inning for the Bobcats, only for the team to com back withing two runs and strand the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning. Colin Solinski contributed with all six of the Bobcat runs as he had two runs scored and four runs batted in.
 
Solinski had a double in the first inning to put the Bobcats on the board and then hit a two-run home run that saw AMCC Player of the Week James Domer score. Domer went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and two walks. Freshman Zachary Tyson came in off the bench and went 2-for-3 and played left field.
 
The Bobcats pitchers had two pickoffs in the game, including one in a clutch ninth inning by senior Collyn Flynn. He pitched one inning and faced the minimum in his appearance.
 
The Bobcats will return to AMCC play this Friday as the Hilbert Hawks pay a visit to Bobcat Park. First pitch of game one will be at 1 PM.
