Baseball Finishes Season With Split Against Franciscan

STEUBENVILLE - A total of 42 runs and 52 hits were accumulated in 14 innings of the Pitt-Greensburg baseball team playing against the Franciscan Barons. The Bobcats dropped the first game 12-2 and took game two by a massive 20 runs, beating the Barons 24-4. The Bobcats had 24 hits to go with the 24 runs. 

Nine Bobcats drove in a run in game two, including five by shortstop Thomas Smith. Tommy went 5-for-6 with four runs scored. Smith hit ne of five doubles and freshman Braden Enneking hit his first collegiate home run. Five Bobcats had multiple hits, including Colby Rearick, Wyatt Alridge,a nd Conner Burkey with four hits each. Out of 45 at bats, the Bobcats struck out just twice. 

Enneking was responsible for the two runs the Bobcats scored in game one, as he had a double in the game. Pitt-Greensburg had six hits left five runners on base. Tyler Litts suffered the loss in game one while freshman Nicholas Laubach earned his first career win in game two, going seven innings giving up four runs and striking out five batters.

The Bobcats finish the season 11-25-1 while going 5-10-1 in the AMCC.
