The Pitt-Greensburg men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Saint Vincent on Friday afternoon at the SVC Courts.
Despite the final score, the Bobcats showed competitive spirit throughout the match, particularly in the top singles and doubles flights.
In doubles play, the No. 1 team of Michael Opal and Jack Schiffhauer battled but fell 6-3 to Saint Vincent's Matthew Sadusky and Brady Johnson. The Bobcats also dropped the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches, giving the Bearcats the early doubles point.
In singles action, Michael Opal put up a strong fight at the No. 1 spot, pushing both sets to the brink before falling 7-5, 6-4 to Sadusky. The rest of the singles lineup struggled to gain traction against a deep Saint Vincent squad, with Ryan Cole, Jack Schiffhauer, Jack Norris, Sam Vogel, and Daniel Cipcic all falling in straight sets.
