The Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team put together a dominant performance on Wednesday afternoon, defeating Carlow University 11-0 at Ridilla Field. The Bobcats improved to 5-6-2 overall and 2-0-1 in conference play.
Sophomore forward Bella Carroto led the offensive charge with four goals and an assist. Megan Hickey added a hat trick of her own, scoring three times in the opening 23 minutes. Maya Wertelet contributed a goal and two assists, while Emma Reyes had a standout game off the bench with one goal and three assists.
Kylie Smith and Gabriella Finch each added second-half goals to round out the scoring.
The Bobcats outshot Carlow 34-0, including 22 shots on goal, and earned 14 corner kicks while not allowing a single one. Goalkeeper Anna Fauber earned her second shutout of the season without facing a shot, thanks to a stifling defensive effort.
The Bobcats will look to keep up the momentum entering a touch conference matchup Saturday as they host Penn State Behrend. Kickoff is scheduled for 2PM.Â
