The Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team dropped its second game of the season Monday night, falling 67-47 to Saint Vincent at the Robert S. Carey Center.
The Bobcats (0-2) struggled to find offensive rhythm early, scoring just eight points in the second quarter as the Bearcats built a 44-21 halftime lead. Despite a stronger second half effort, Pitt-Greensburg couldn't close the gap.
Gaurd Autumn Matthews led the Bobcats with 15 points and six rebounds, shooting 6-of-11 from the field. Jocelyn Bielak added 11 points and four rebounds, while Tiana Moracco contributed eight points—all from the free throw line—going a perfect 8-for-8.
The Bobcats forced 12 turnovers and recorded nine steals, with Bielak and Moracco each grabbing one.
Saint Vincent (2-1) used balanced scoring and a deep bench to pull away, outscoring Pitt-Greensburg 39-2 in bench points and 32-22 in the paint.
The Bobcats return to action Friday night when they travel to Penn State Beaver for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
