The Pitt-Greensburg women's bowling team kicked off its inaugural match of the 2025-26 season at the AMCC Round Robin, hosted at Eastlake Bowl in Erie, Pa. The event featured six Baker-format matches against conference opponents, giving the Bobcats their first taste of competitive action this year.
Pitt-Greensburg opened play on Saturday against Penn State Behrend, posting a score of 586 in a 872–586 setback. The Bobcats continued with matchups against Saint Vincent College (953–565) and Hilbert College (803–601), recording their best score of the day against Hilbert.
On Sunday, the team returned to the lanes for three more contests, highlighted by a 657-pin effort against Alvernia University. Pitt-Greensburg also rolled 626 against William Smith College and 550 versus Pitt-Bradford to close out the weekend.
While the Bobcats came up short in each match, the team showed steady improvement and gained valuable experience in the Baker format. Pitt-Greensburg will look to build on this foundation as the season progresses.
The team will return to the lanes Jan 10 at the Greater Pittsburgh Collegiate Classic hosted by Saint Vincent College at New Great Valley Lanes in North Versailles.Â
