The Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team opened the 2025–26 season at home on Saturday evening, falling 56–44 to Kenyon College in non-conference action at Chambers Hall.
The Bobcats saw a balanced scoring effort, with Jocelyn Bielak and Trinity Lockwood Morris each scoring 10 points to lead the team. Bielak also pulled down seven rebounds, while Lockwood Morris added five boards and a steal.
Autumn Matthews contributed nine points and matched Bielak with seven rebounds, while Hailey Bock provided a spark off the bench with eight points on 4-of-8 shooting. Tiana Moracco added five points and seven rebounds, and Anna Durbin chipped in with two points and two steals.
Pitt-Greensburg trailed 15–9 after the first quarter and remained within striking distance throughout the game, cutting the deficit to seven entering the fourth. However, Kenyon pulled away late with a 20-point final period.
The Bobcats outrebounded Kenyon 36–30 and scored 26 points in the paint, but struggled from three-point range, shooting just 3-for-20, while Kenyon shot over 41% from 3 point range. Turnovers proved costly, as Pitt-Greensburg committed 17 giveaways that led to 22 Kenyon points.
Pitt-Greensburg returns to action Tuesday as they make the short trip trip down Route 30 to Saint Vincent College for a 6PM tip-off.
