Women's Basketball Fall to Pioneers

ALFRED, N.Y. – A valiant effort in the first half by the Pitt-Greensburg women's basketball team that ended with them down by just two and just four at the end of the third quarter saw the Bobcats go cold in the fourth quarter, scoring just six points in the frame, and ending the game with Alfred State taking down Pitt-Greensburg 68-48.
Junior Tiana Moracco led the Bobcats with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman Autumn Matthews had another game, scoring double figures as she had ten points and nine rebounds. Junior Trinity Lockwood-Morris scored nine, while freshman Jocelyn Bielak had seven of her own.
 
The Bobcats struggled in the second and fourth quarters, making just four field goals between the two. Overall, the team shot 27.6 percent, while the Pioneers shot 46 percent, including 9-for-12 in the fourth quarter to put it away.
 
The Bobcats will return to Chambers Hall on Wednesday to take on Carlow. The tip-off will be at 7 p.m.
