Game One: Pitt-Greensburg 11, Carlow 3
Pitt-Greensburg came out swinging in the first game, using a six-run first inning to cruise to an 11-3 victory.
The Bobcats wasted no time jumping on the scoreboard. Shelby Cloak led off the bottom of the first with a double, and Jessica Dunn followed with a single to set the stage. Hunter Taylor then drove in two runs with a double to center, giving Pitt-Greensburg an early lead. The inning continued to snowball as the Bobcats capitalized on defensive miscues and timely hitting, pushing across six runs in the frame.
In the circle, Autumn Powell set the tone with a dominant start, striking out six batters and allowing just one hit over three shutout innings.
The Bobcats added another run in the second inning, taking advantage of an error before Brenna Altman delivered an RBI single to extend the lead to 7-0.
Pitt-Greensburg broke the game open in the third. After a leadoff single from Powell and another double from Cloak, Dunn drove in a run with a single. Moments later, Kenzie Lang delivered the biggest swing of the game—a three-run home run to left field—stretching the lead to 11-0.
Carlow responded with three runs in the fourth inning, but Pitt-Greensburg's early cushion proved more than enough as the Bobcats secured the run-rule victory.
Offensively, Pitt-Greensburg tallied 11 hits, led by Falynn Reinard's three-hit performance. Cloak and Dunn each added two hits, while Lang finished with three RBIs to headline a balanced attack.
