The Pitt-Greensburg men's and women's cross-country teams returned to action at the Bethany Invitational in Bethany, West Virgina to continue their 2026 season.  

Men's Highlights  

The Pitt-Greensburg men finished eighth as a team with 200 points in the 8K race. The Bobcats were led by freshman Edir Sid Mohand, who continued his strong start to the season with a 12th place finish in 30:32.6.  

"Edir had an impressive 8K debut racing towards the front of the strong field", said Coach Eshleman.  

Senior Anthony Zona was next across the finish line for Pitt-Greensburg, placing 42nd in 43:31.5, while senior David Brokaw followed in 46th with a time of 35:44.3.  

Freshman Conor Haines finished 57th in 54:40.7 followed by freshman Logan Brenneman, who completed the race in 1:00:11.7.  

Women's Highlights  

The Pitt-Greensburg women also placed eighth with 255 points in their 6K race.  

Junior Victoria Maher paced the Bobcats, finishing 55th overall in 32:58:.3. Sophomore Jocelyn Bielak followed in 58th at 34:15.9, while freshman Elaina Funk crossed the line 60th at 36:47.6.  

"Vic already running what she ran late last season. She ran a smart race as our number 1 after unfortunately losing Bella to a potential stress fracture", from Coach Eshleman.  

Sophomore Carinna Darragh finished 64th with a time of 39:22.6, rounding out the Bobcats' top four finishers. Frehsman Madison Martino finished in 43:48.7, while sophomore Caroline Davis completed the race in 46:16.7.  

This invitational gave the Bobcats squad another opportunity to complete against a strong field, to continue the Bobcats will return to the course on September 25th to compete in the La Roche Invitational.
