Pitt-Greensburg men's and women's cross-country teams completed at the LaRoche Invitational on Friday, with both squads turning in strong performances against the field.
Men's Highlights
The Pitt-Greensburg men's team captured first place with a team score of 31 points, finishing ahead of Carlow and LaRoche.
Edir Sid Mohand led the Bobcats, crossing the line in second place with a time of 19:01. He was followed by Anthony Zona, who placed 5th in 20:04, while David Brokaw finished 6th at 20:22.
"The men's team It's starting to show the strength with our top three." said coach Eshleman.
Conor Haines added a 14th place finish with a time of 27:28, while Logan Brenneman rounded out the Bobcats scoring five in 23rd at 33:59.
Pitt-Greensburg also received performances from Chase Morris, who finished 24th in 33:59, and Jilani Turner, who placed 25th with a time of 35:38.
Women's Highlights
The women's team earned a third-place finish with 49 points, trailing La Roche and team champion Carlow.
Jocelyn Bielak placed the Bobcats with a 4th place finish, recording a time of 28:02, Victoria Maher followed in 7th at 29:23.
Elaina Funk finished 11th with a time of 31:38, while Nadia Salifu Ahmed crossed just two seconds later in 12th at 31:40.
Carinna Darragh completed the Bobcats scoring five, finishing 17th in 39:09. Madison Martino finished in 20th with a time of 34:24.
"It's a great day when as a team we come home with five individual awards" said Eshleman.
The Bobcats will look to carry momentum from La Roche into their next meet at Mount Aloysius on October 3rd.
